The Irish Mist required new cushions for the v-berth, dining area and a for a new sleeping area under the cockpit. The original cushions were made of some light weight cotton type fabric which had a distinctive mildew smell. The foam had the same smell so new foam was going to be required.

I wanted a fabric that not only would be easy to take care of, but had built in protection against stains, moisture and mildew. I selected a fabric from Crypton:
